I knew him for many years and he was a good loving friend. I will always cherish the visit we had with him in the fall of 2009 when we were were on our 6 month boat trip. We called him lovingly, "Grateful Fred", because he always reminded us to be grateful no matter what life brought on. He was always a terrifically positive influence in our lives.
