Glenn Warren Drew, age 77 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday July 4, 2018 at his home.

Glenn was born in Pender County on July 28, 1940 to the late Ralph Daniel Drew and Alice Elizabeth Edens Drew. He grew up in the Porters Neck Community in Wilmington and graduated from New Hanover High School.  He served in the US Air Force from 1962 -1967 and was Honorably Discharged.

Glenn spent his long career as a consulting engineer working extensively on international assignments. After his retirement he enjoyed traveling, politics, reading and flying.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 51 years, Marueen McCahill Drew; daughter Robyn Kardos and husband Joseph; son Sean Drew; six grandchildren, Talia, Daniel, Tyler, Erzsebet, Katalin and Aiden. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Ralph Daniel Drew, Jr.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 6 to 8 Tuesday July 10, 2018 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel. During the gathering there will be a time of sharing with family, memories of Glenn, Military Honors and Flag presentation, and light food and refreshment will be provided.

    I have so many fond memories of my beloved cousin. We had such good times on the water and when my family visited his. Also good times when he had "motel duties". Always such fun and such a good sense of humor.
