Harriette Lee Wolfe Jones (PeeWee) passed away peacefully on Sunday,

October 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.  Born June 21, 1926

in Chester, SC, she was the daughter of the late Beulah Lee Ashley and

Arthur Monroe Wolfe.  She graduated from Chester High School in

Chester, SC and was a faithful member of Winter Park Baptist Church,

Wilmington, NC for 52 years.

 

Preceding her in death were her husband, Edwin Newton Jones; brother, Robert M. Wolfe;

sister, Jessie Mae Young; Son-in-law, William (Bill) Pfeffer and great-grandson, Exodus Hauser.

 

Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Jody Lee Jones Pfeffer; Susie

Jones-Cook (David); Harry Andrew (Andy) Jones (Karen); Edwin (Eddie) Newton Jones,

Jr. (Debbie); four grandchildren: MiMi Smythe Tripp (Malton), Brooke Amanda Lee

Stanley, Taylor Andrew Jones and Lauren Nicole Jones and five great grandchildren:

Catelyn Tripp, Arianna Hauser, Malton (Tripp) Tripp, III, Isaiah Hauser and Jentezen

Hauser.  She is also survived by her twin brother, Harry Wolfe, a host of family members

and many friends.

 

Harriette touched many lives with her caring, nurturing nature.  She devoted her life to

caring for her family and loved ones.  She worked at The Sterling House for 18 years,

served as a Stephens Minister, taught Sunday School, GA’s and left the lives she touched

better for having known her.  Other interests included working with the homebound,

cooking, sewing and various other crafts.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wilmington

Funeral and Cremation, 1535 South 41st Street, Wilmington.  A funeral service will be

held at Winter Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, on October

29th, 2015 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Building or Bus Fund at Winter

Park Baptist Church, 4700 Wrightsville Avenue, Wilmington, NC 28403 or Trinity Grove, 631 Junction Creek Drive Wilmington, NC 28412.

 

The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the staff at Trinity Grove, Wilmington,

for their compassionate and diligent care of our loved one.
