Memorial Gifts & Donations

On July 7, 2017 Lynne Pendery Williams transitioned from this world to be with her Lord and Saviour. Lynne was blessed to have been in the care of a team of Hospice Angels at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice. Lynne won victory over a 21 year battle with breast cancer. The way Lynne lived her life defined her character and strength of faith.

Although the disease may have taken her body but never her grace, her beauty, her style, or her smile. She lived her life with passion and desire to enjoy that which her God blessed her with. Her smile, her amazing ability to present herself in a manner that was a reflection of her love for the Lord, which will forever be imprinted on those who knew and love her.

The ability to take whatever palette her Lord presented her and use it to decorate in a manner that was unique, stylish and classy. Lynne was a bright shining example of faith that will be missed by all.

The amazing and incredible love she had for her husband was an inspiration to all that was her witness. The boundless love and compassion she used loving all God’s creatures but none more so than her dogs, her babies, instinctually knew she was special.

Lynne was known for her love of life.  She found her calling by owning and operating lady’s clothing stores and the unique lady’s gift shop, The Rice Planter.

Lynne was proceeded in death by her parents Pat and David Pendery, of Fort Mitchell, KY.  She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Alan H. Williams of Wilmington, NC, her brother Dave Pendery and wife Louise, niece Sarah Pendery Riggs and husband Calab Riggs, nephew John Pendery, all of Lexington KY.  A special and blessed group of friends that were close and dear to her heart, her girlfriends:  Sherrie, Joanne, Caryn, Jackie, Becky, and Joan.

Lynne and her family wish to thank Dr. William McNulty for being a gift that only God could have arranged, to be in her life. May God bless you. The Chemo. Dept. at Cape Fear Cancer an amazing, caring gathering of most special people. You will forever be loved and appreciated. A special gratitude for all chemo nurses, especially those who assisted in Lynne’s stretch of 17 Years receiving chemo. Thank you all.

    Terry Oliver says:
Lynne always was so very nice to me when I went to the church that she attended. She always made me feel welcome and always had such a sweet smile for all. I admired the way handled all that she had gone through during her illness and still was able to care for others. Also her love for her husband which showed all the time. There are angels amongst us and Lynne will always be one. Sending a big hug to Allen and you will be in our prayers and thoughts.

Lynne was my very, very best friend all thru High School at Beechwood and beyond until life took us in different directions. We laughed together and cried together! She was always the love of my life. She will be sorely missed by her friends, family, community, and all the lives that she touched! I will never forget her smile and her infectious laugh, I can still see her smile and hear her laughter! I pray that I'll get to see her again someday. I know she'll be in heaven!

I have great memories of time with Lynne. We shared that love of animals. We worked together when she and Allen started their relationship and then when Lynne started her battle with cancer. If you know Lynne and Allen you love them. Keeping you in thoughts and prayers.
