Minnie R. Sellers, age 90, of Winnabow, NC, passed away on June 8, 2016 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.

She was born on November 2, 1925 in Winnabow, NC, the daughter of Esther L. Hinson and Creasy Reynolds.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Levy Windell Sellers and a grandson, Jeffrey Ross Asbury.

She was survived by 3 daughters, Betty S. Calhoun, (the late Tommy), Barbara Gail Fussell, (Elwood), and Gloria S. (Honey) Ashley.  Seven grandchildren; Rev. Tony Calhoun, Virginia (Sissy) Socha, John C. Calhoun, Wendell (Rod) Ashley, Richard Eric Asbury and Shaun E. Ashley. 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  Also survived by her brother, James Robert Sellers and her sister, Delores Gore Lynch and a special friend Delilah.

Minnie worked all her life until age 85, the last 15 years being at Tri-Tech Forensics in Southport, NC who honored her with a grand sendoff upon her retirement.  She was an Avon Representative for 35 years, enjoying her many friends and customers.  She was the matriarch of the community, enjoyed by all.

A memorial graveside service to be held at Willetts Cemetery next to Millcreek Baptist Church Hwy 87 In Winnabow, NC on Saturday June 18, 2016 at 1:00. The Rev. Mary L Palmore and Rev. Tony Calhoun will officiate.
