Nathan served his country with honor and distinction as an Aviation Electrician in the United States Navy. He was stationed at the Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA and served two tours of duty during the Iraq War. Since then he has lived in Ocala, FL and most recently Wilmington, NC.
Together with his parents he is survived by three brothers, Christopher McKibbin and his wife Ashley, William McKibbin and his wife Emily, and Samuel McKibbin. He is also survived by three nieces, Eleanor, Lucy, and Lilly, and a nephew Jack, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The response to this tragedy from Nathan’s family and friends reveals the magnitude of our loss. He may have made you laugh at nothing, or showed you music you wouldn’t have found. It is certain that he made you feel seen, understood, and loved. We are thankful for the time we had, and we will miss him every day. He was a solid support for many wandering souls on earth, and we expect no less from him now.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday.April 21st, 2018, at Oleander Memorial Gardens, 306 Bradley Drive, Wilmington, North Carolina.
