Thomas M. Morgan, 82, of Leland, N.C. was called home by the lord on April 3rd, 2017

Visitation will be held at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S. 41st St. Wilmington on Friday April 7th, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Bridge of Life Community Church,2220 Mercantile Dr.NE, Leland on Saturday April 8th, 2017 starting at 11:00 a.m. with Jerome Bullard and Tim Rausch dual officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with arrangements being made by Wilmington Funeral and Cremation.

Thomas M. Morgan was born in Wilson N.C. to Laudest and Vivian Morgan on June 8th, 1934. In October of 1956 he married his childhood sweetheart Ora A. Johnson and through their union they were blessed with three beautiful children.

Thomas M. Morgan is a proud veteran of the United States Airforce. Following his retirement he moved to a town he helped founder, Leland, and opened a mechanical shop by the name of Tommy’s Auto Repair. For over 30 years he fostered strong ties throughout the community, so much so that nearly every household knew and thought of him fondly making him more than just the neighborhood mechanic, making him their friend. He continued to deepen his ties to the community and his faith by also being an active member of the Bridge of Life Community Church.

Thomas M. Morgan is preceded in death by mother Vivian I. Morgan, father Laudest T. Morgan and two sons, Danny T. Morgan and Tommy J. Morgan. He is survived by wife Ora A. Morgan, daughter Patricia A. Asbell and multiple loving grand and great grandchildren.

In Lieu of Flowers the family humbly asks that memorial donations in memory of Thomas M. Morgan be sent to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCare Center.

    I just learned of Tommy's going home to b with the Lord. While I am happy for him my heart is saddened. I considered Tommy a friend and my machanic. I will keep Ora and the family in my prayers
