Walter Thomas Hall “Tommy”, 65, of Wilmington, NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017.

Tommy was born on February 13, 1952 in Wilmington, to Ruby Riggs Hall and the late Elwood Hall. Tommy was a loving father to his son, Walter Thomas Hall Jr. (Tommy Jr.).

He was the life of the party and could make light of any bad situation. Tommy loved dogs and had many over the years.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Holloway. Survivors include his mother, Ruby Hall, son Walter Thomas Hall Jr. (Tommy Jr.) , brother Robert Hall, sister-in-law Sharon Hall, nephew Robert Hall, niece Kelly Hall Bass and husband Brandon Bass, and great-niece Leigh McCall Bass, along with many cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Wilmington Funeral Chapel. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday at 12 noon at Oakdale Cemetery.

    The loss of Tommy was a such a shock to us. He will always be remembered as a very helpful and caring person. He had a great sense of humor and was always laughing. He will always hold a very special place in our hearts. Tommy may be gone but he will never be forgotten. He was a great nephew and a great cousin.
