Dana Lynn Bradley

February 19, 1950 - July 25, 2019

Dana Lynn Bradley age 69 of Wilmington, lost her year long battle with cancer on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCareCenter. Dana passed away peacefully with her sister, Susan Porter, at her side. Although Dana spent many years in a professional career, she would like to be remembered as a passionate advocate for animal rescue. Over the past 20+ years, she was president of the North Carolina Rescue League, helping hundreds of small dogs escape abusive and hopeless lives, and seeing them get a 2nd chance at life.

Over the years, Dana would herself adopt several of these dogs, mostly Maltese, and one special needs dog, Matee Moo, who she called her “Heart Dog”. Dana was a special person, dedicated to all who entered the rescue, and will be missed by those who connected with her there.

A private service will be held 2 pm Friday, August 2, 2019 at the graveside in Oleander Memorial Gardens.

What our families say...

“Michael Gubista took over the care of my husband and oversaw all of the services. He explained everything thoroughly and he even added some personal touches of his own and welcomed all the attendees that were very meaningful and thoughtful. He really listened to me and provided excellent support at an extremely difficult time.” – Barbara L.
