Donald Harrill

Donald Bruce Harrill, age 52 went peacefully in his sleep from his home on this earth to his eternal home.

He was born March 27, 1958, in Fort Bragg, NC to Charles Gold Harrill and Joan McVicar Harrill of Fayetteville, NC.

Donnie was a member and past Master of Lodge #753, York Rite-Concord Chapter, Eastern Star Chapter 361, Sudan Shriners of New Bern. He was an insurance salesman for 32 years, becoming a friend to all he helped.

Donnie was also a past president and long standing member of the GotemOnLiveBait Club. He was devoted to his wife of 28 years, his family and his many, many friends. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed being outdoors in God’s beautiful world, whether it be on the coast or at the river with his much loved family there. His passion in life was to make others happy, always quick with the joke to make people laugh. Most of all Donnie loved his family and was loved in return. He will be missed more than words can express.

Surviving in addition to his devoted wife, Debbie Woodcock Harrill are Sister in law Melody Ethridge, her husband Mark and niece Crystal Rose Ethridge. Sister in law Wendy Lewis, her husband Russell and nephew Jacob Lewis. Brother Chuck Harrill and wife Pat Harrill. Nephew Chuck Jr. Nieces Noel and Lisa. Two Sisters Barbara Fulp and her husband Tom and nephew
Wake. Susie Stancil and her husband Bill, and 2 more nephews Billy and Jason.

Memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Holy Cross Episcopal Church, 5820 Myrtle Grove Road, Wilmington, NC 28409. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Building Fund or charity of your choice.
