Dulah and I worked together on 4 South after I moved to Wilmington in 1991. She was a truly caring and dedicated nurse. Also, personally a fine Christian lady. We saw each other occasionally after she retired. She always looked the same - a true, genteel lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones. I know with her faith, she is in a great place serving and worshipping the Lord. P.S. I work at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and am glad we were able to serve Dulah and all of you. Laurie Myles Bystrom

    Sheila Youngblood says:
I grew up on Rose Avenue, and Dulah's son Chris was a very dear friend. It broke my heart when he died and I could not attend his funeral because of being away at college, and no one would cover my shift at work. They had moved away by the time I came back to Wilmington. I remember the entire family were such giving people and I remember Mrs. Singletary as always caring so much for others, and looking after us kids in the neighborhood when we got hurt, fell on our bikes, etc. I feel better in knowing that Chris and Mr. Singletary were there, along with others, to welcome her home. My sincere sympathy to the family for another loss.
