Ethel Lee Snyder, age 92 of Wilmington passed away on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center.

She was the widow of Kent Snyder.

Ethel is survived by her children, Mary Warren (Frank), Myrna Fowler (Bob), Paula Eisel, Carole Burghuis (Peter), and Betty Gardiner (Brian) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Mary Ann Powell, brother Bill Baker; numerous cousins including Leona Sloan;faithful friend Kitty; special neighbors in Hanover Heights, Danny and Sue Ann Avent, and Rick and Polly Gardner.

    Ethel has been a friend and neighbor to me and my family for many years. My children and grandchildren call her Gramma Ethel because she welcomed them into her home and loved them. We will miss her caring spirit and her sense of humor! May God bless her family whom she dearly loved and spoke of often.

    You have my condolences on the death of your mother. She was an excellent cook and cooked the best greens ever! She was a dear cousin to my stepfather Robert Earle Vereen and my mother Maurice Vereen. She will be missed greatly!
