Mr. Gary James Barberio, of Wilmington, NC, was born on October 29, 1943, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 31, 2021, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, completing his journey of 77 years.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 9:00AM till 10:00AM, at The River at Wrightsville Avenue Church of God

Gary served faithfully in the United States Navy, and was very active in his church working with youth and young adults. Gary was active in the VFW post 2573 and American legion post 545. he supported many charities, one in which was St. Jude’s.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughters: Kathleen, Cynthia, and grand daughters Alicia Barberio and Alannah Barberio from Germany, step-son Joseph and wife Sherry, two great-grand daughters Lillian Stanley and Joy Barberio of Germany his brothers: Alan, David, and Eric Graber, all from New Jersey.

Gary is preceded in death by his parent James Barberio and Ann Graber, his wife Betty Lee Barberio, step-son Ricky Stanley, step-daughter Cheryl Morrison.

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00AM, at The River at Wrightsville Avenue Church of God, with Pastor Loretta Graham officiating.
