    John C Croom says:
Gerald, even before he was my brother n law took me as a young man of about 14 fishing, hunting and frogging. He taught me much that my dad was unable to. At the time he was like a big brother. We were in church service when OUR Pastor was interrupted with a message. he then said" all service member are ordered to their duty station by President John Kennedy" no one knew why at the time but this was this was the Cuban Missile Crisis. Gerald and many others immediately got up and left. Gerald a Christian, and American Patriot! NEVER FORGET
