Robert Glenn Pate, 65, of Wilmington died Sunday August 9, 2009 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Glenn was born in New Hanover County October 10, 1943 the son of the late Fannie Stewart Pate. He and his wife Patsy owned and operated Glenn’s Sporting Goods on Wrightsville Avenue for the past 35 years. He was a life time member of Wilmington B.P.O Elks Lodge No. 532.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years Patsy Futchs Pate of the home, daughters Angela Pate and husband Timothy Cliff, Robin S. Hughes and Husband Chris, grandchildren, Rain Howard and Hunter Hughes all of Wilmington, sisters Irene Gray and husband Larry of Rocky Point; Elaine Reynolds and husband John of Huston TX., Joyce Hayden and husband Whit of Wilmington, Laura Petteway of Aden, NC. and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will see friends from 6:00 P.M until 8:00 P.M Tuesday August 11, 2009 at Wilmington Burial and Cremation Service.

The family request memorials be made to Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 3736 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington, NC 28412.
