James David Stevenson

James David Stevenson, age 83, of Wilmington, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Martin County, NC on August 14, 1936, the son of James Thomas Stevenson and Rilla Gertrude Haislip Stevenson. David retired on April 29, 1994 after 38 years with the Wilmington office of  NOAA as a Meteorological Technician.

David is survived by his wife Lola Jean Stevenson; son Mark Stevenson of Largo, FL.; daughter Kimberly Lanier of Rocky Point, NC.; grand sons Joseph Lanier and James Mims; 6 great grandchildren and sisters Frances Warren of Robinsville, NC and Linda Dawn of Newark, NJ.

David served his country with honor and distinction in the United States Air Force.

Friends may join the family at the Greenlawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 11:00 am for a Graveside Service. The United States Air Force Honor Guard will render Military Honors in recognition of Davids honorable and faithful service to his country.
