John William Weakley on May 15, 2019 ended his suffering and moved on to his eternal rest.

John was born in Tulsa, OK, son of, Mary Lou and Darrell Weakley, and grew up in the suburban Chicago area. He attended Marmion Military Academy and Lewis Hotel and School of Restaurant Management. John spent his life working in the food service industry with a passion for good food and dining at fine restaurants. He was a longtime member of St Mary’s Parish in South Plainfield NJ, and active member and Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed retiring from New Jersey to Leland NC. five years ago. In NC he loved playing golf, reading history, dining at the numerous area restaurants, and playing cards with new friends and neighbors who became like family.

John leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years Holly (Kennedy) Weakley, four children, Christopher Weakley (wife Hannah) of NJ, Marla Herrmann and Monica Lenox (husband Stewart) of Ohio, Sara Canright of CA, his grandsons Bryan and Benten Jenkins (Michelle Coudriet) and Andrew Herrmann plus a great grandson Lucas. His son Jonathan predeceased him in death.
