Louise Agnes Holden

February 16, 1938 - February 4, 2019

Louise (Chick) Holden went home to be with our Lord on February 4th 2019, less than two weeks prior to her 81st birthday. Chick was born February 16th, 1938 in Astoria, New York to Gustave and Winifred Schuck. Her fondest memories of growing up in New York included jumping fire hydrants on her roller skates! At age 16, she met who would become her husband of 62 years, Eldredge Vernon (E.V.) Holden. She married him at age 17 and after living in NY together for a few months they moved to North Carolina and later to Texas where they had 5 children before moving back to NC.
Louise’s was an amazing cook and housekeeper, and loved to crochet, read books, and put together jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid knick-knack collector, and with thousands of items in the home, she could tell you where most of her treasured items came from.

Louise is survived by her 5 children, Curtis Holden of Fort Worth Texas, Mark Holden of Supply North Carolina, Juanita Glaubitz of Nampa Idaho, Tim Holden of Sanger Texas, and Aaron Holden of Supply North Carolina.
She is also survived by one brother Gustave (Buster) Schuck of Tennessee, and 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Her incredible strength, her quiet demeanor, and her tremendous love for her family will be greatly missed!

A memorial service will be held in her honor on Saturday February 9th at 11 o’clock a.m. at the Lockwood Folly Community Building located at 1691 Stanbury Rd in Supply North Carolina. Services will be officiated by the reverend Larry Milliken.

What our families say...

“Michael Gubista and Jane Crowder did an excellent job taking care of my family and my precious husband. They were very compassionate and understanding. They treated my children and myself as if we were family. I could not have asked for better service.” – Pepper R.
