On Monday, April 12, 2021, Mark Clements, loving husband, father of three, son, and brother, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60.
Mark was born on October 28th, 1960 in Jacksonville Florida to Doris Fay and Capt. Mick Clements. He grew up in Florida and moved to Wilmington where he met his wife Kim when he was 23. He and Kim moved to Hampstead in their mid 20’s when they had their first son. Shortly after he started his business Clements Marine Construction in 1996, which he proudly ran everyday from that day on.
Mark enjoyed and lived every day of his life to the fullest. He had a way of bringing light to everyday. He was the life of every party. He was a good listener, sincere, warm, kind-hearted, patient, motivated, compassionate, encouraging, strong, loving, and funny, so very funny. His favorite days were always filled with sunshine, family, lots of laughter, fishing, anything on the water, or any type of adventure. He had a passion for the water, fishing, and a deep deep love for any activity he could do that included his family. He loved his family fiercely. Even on his hard days he brought joy to all of those he saw and met. His smile and his laugh were contagious. His ability to make you laugh, feel better, and to make everyone feel welcome, special, and seen is something that will be missed every day by each person he met in his life. He was the person you wanted to be around, always.
Mark is survived by his wife, Kim, his three boys and their spouses, Daniel and Brandy Clements, Chris and Kayla Clements, and Marky Clements, his parents, Doris Fay and Capt. Mick Clements, his two sisters and their spouses, K. Kay and Andrew King, Terri and Chris Klingenberger, his four grandchildren, Juliana Benson Clements, Victoria Clements, Travis Clements, and Myra Clements, who will all miss everything about him until the day we see him again.
Visitation will be held 2pm Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 3pm.
