Martha B. Law, 82, of Wilmington, NC passed away Monday, September 24, 2007 peacefully at home.

Martha was born in Brookville, PA on Feb 13, 1925 to William and Agnes Brinkley. She married Robert B. Law on April 14, 1945. Martha was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 4 sisters and her son Michael Law.

Surviving are her husband Robert B. Law, of the home, daughter Cheryl Baldwin, Vonore, TN, daughter in law Dorothy “Darcy” Law, Wilmington, granddaughter Laura Baldwin, Tampa, FL, and grandsons Matt Baldwin, Alexandria, VA and Greg Law, Trenton, NJ.

Martha graduated from Brookville High School and attended Indiana University of PA. She worked as a Real Estate Associate retiring in 1985. Martha was a devoted mother and wife who also worked as an American Red Cross Hospital Volunteer for 10 years.

Martha truly enjoyed life with her family and friends as she enjoyed doing water color painting, playing the piano, bird watching, playing golf and teaching Sunday School. Martha was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Martha’s life will be 3:00 PM, Friday, September 28, 2007 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church located at 3rd and Harper Sts, Carolina Beach, where the family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM. Inurnment will be in Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, PA at a later time.

Please, no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Building Fund or Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 2222 S. 17th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.

Martha’s family offers special thanks to her many friends at St. Paul’s and Cypress Island for their prayers and support and to Lower Cape Fear Hospice for their kind and professional services. Special thanks to Reverend Steve Hall and his wife Teresa.

    Bob, I still can't believe she is gone - it seems way too soon. Mom was the best mother-in-law a girl could ever want. I felt close to her in so many ways and loved her so much. Thank God she is at peace now. Love, Darcy
