Mildred ” Millie” Smith Elledge passed away Friday, September 24, 2021.

She was born on April 11, 1946 in Wilmington, NC to the late Ed Lee Smith and Mildred Bland Smith.

Millie graduated from New Hanover High School and obtained a Bachelors Degree at UNCW in religious studies. Millie was a member of the Wilmington Baptist Association. She was an active member of New Hanover County Democratic Party. She also was a member of United Daughters of Confederacy and Daughters of the American Revolutions.

Millie is survived by her son Billy Elledge and granddaughter Kara Elledge of Jacksonville, FL; siblings Barbara Smith, Kay Smith, Kenny Smith.

She was a great mother, sister, and friend, and will be missed dearly by all that knew her.
