    Mare Petras says:
Dear Saieed Family: I am truly sorry for your loss. I was lucky to meet Minnie a few times, but I mostly know of her through her youngest daughter, my dearest friend Suzanne. My fondest Minnie memory is from a weekend visit where she warmly greeted Suzanne and me at the door with a plate of beautifully prepared tea sandwiches. The epitome of a Southern belle, Minnie was elegant and refined with an inner grit that also made her a mother extraordinaire. May your many wonderful memories help fill your tremendous void.

On behalf of Phyllis Abeyounis and family, we extend our sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. We didn’t know until after her passing. “Aunt Minnie”, as we kids called her, was an elegant person in every way.... a true southern lady with impeccable manners, charm, and taste. Our mom thoroughly enjoyed telling us of the friendship she had with her and fun times they shared together...your parents and ours spent time together in their younger years, as well. Please accept our apology for just now responding, as well as our sorrow in your loss. She was always a beautiful person. Phyllis, Kay, Jane and Morris
