March 26, 1966 - September 3, 2021

Mr. Gregory Wayne Powell, of Southport, NC, was born on March 26, 1966 to Linda Powell and the late Jimmy Powell, in High Point, NC, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 3, 2021, at his residence, completing his journey of 55 years.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, from 10:00AM till 11:00AM, at the Living Word Full Gospel Fellowship.

Greg loved his country and served faithfully in the United States Army for 20 years. He was a devoted father to his children, and a loving husband of 38 years to his wife Emma. Greg loved the Lord with all of his heart, he was a member of Living Word Full Gospel Fellowship. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife: Emma Powell; two sons: Joshua W. Powell (Amy); Patrick W. Powell (Amanda); mother: Linda B. Powell; one brother: Jimmy Powell, Jr.; one sister: Windy L. Powell; two grandchildren: Zelda M. Powell; Annalise M. Powell; along with a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Living Word Full Gospel Fellowship, with Pastor: Bobby Wilson officiating.
