In Loving Memory of Nina Mae Harrell, 86, of 9532 Hevener Street, Leland, NC, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Mrs. Harrell was born February 12, 1935, in New Hanover County, the daughter of the late Linwood Boswell and Bernice Inez Boswell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Milton Ray Harrell, brother James “Joe” Boswell, and son-in-law Allen Robert Karpinsky Jr.

Survivors include a brother Douglas Roy Boswell, a son Danny Ray Harrell (Melanie), and her three daughters, Debbie Karpinsky Harrell (Tim), Sheila Kay Thomas (Joe), and Tina Marie Feeley (John) of Wilmington NC, ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Nina dedicated her entire life to her family and extended loved ones. She loved fiercely and deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace.
Pallbearers will be Allen Karpinsky III, Ray Harrell, Derek Cromer, Timothy Mincey, John Feeley, and Joe Thomas.

Our family wishes to thank her daughter Debbie Harrell and Tim Tabor Sr. for providing loving care and comfort to our mother during their stay with her. They brought her much peace and happiness.

A special thank you to her son Danny Harrell and daughter-in-law Melanie Harrell and their entire family for the care and dedication they provided to both our parents.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2:00 pm at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Wilmington, NC with Pastor Dean Brown officiating.

The family also wishes to extend their heart-felt thanks to Liberty Hospice Center, Leland, NC.

    My best memories of grandma was when I was a little girl and she used to play dress up with me and put make up on me and we would paint each others finger nails. Also all those Sunday morning breakfasts she the smell of biscuits and grits and eggs would wake you up. It was always a good day at grandmas.
