Sunday May 2 via Facebook Last week was my 30th High School Reunion, and today I got the word that one of my classmates, Richie Malter, had passed away. Richie was one of the nicest boys I went to school with. He was friendly to everyone, and didn't care if others thought he wasn't "cool" by talking to someone. He definitely marched to the beat of his own drum. He was always asking me about my dream to go on to become a professional photographer (a dream I thought would never come true). I remember telling him this one day and he put his hand on my shoulder, looked deeply into my eyes, and said "it will. Dreams come true, you know." We kept in touch for the first two years while we were in college and slowly drifted apart when I stayed up in Rochester, rarely coming back to NJ. He also looked really great in his football uniform :) Richie-I made that dream of becoming a photographer a reality-THANK YOU my friend. Rest in Peace sweet Richie-you will be missed.

Janice and Elizabeth, you have been in our thoughts and prayers during this very hard time. Although we did not personally know Richie, through our conversations I felt like I did. It has been a long year for you and we are so very for your loss. I am so sorry I will be unable to attend the funeral, but we are always here for you and I will be thinking of you and Elizabeth.
