Robert Alan “Rob” Powell age 53 of Leland passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2019 at his home with his loving wife by his side.

Rob was born in Wilmington on March 9, 1966. Rob was a member of Federal Point Pentecostal Church and was retired from Wilmington Municipal Golf Course.

Rob is survived by his wife of 9 years Bonnie Boswell Powell; his mother and father Hilda and Jim Peach; step son Christian Taylor; brother Jim “J W” Peach, II (Peg), many extended family members and his special dogs,”Duke” and “Sammy”.

The family will see friends from 1 pm Monday until the Funeral service time at 2 pm Monday, April 29, 2019 at Wilmington Funeral Chapel officiated by Rev. Paulette Coleman, Rev. John Butler, and Bishop Roy Coleman. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Christian Taylor, Kevin Edwards, Jeff Edwards, J W Peach, Chris Wright, and Wade Wright.
