Ronald Lee Boyd, Sr. age 70, of Wilmington, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at his home.

He was born in Tabor City, NC on September 18, 1949, the son of Alvin Charles (AC) Boyd and Virginia Louise Smith Boyd.

Ronald worked for many years as a Carpenter in the Construction Industry.

Ronald is survived by his wife Kathy and son Ronnie, Jr. and his wife Stacy and grandson Tucker; brothers Keith Boyd and his wife Sharon and their sons Brian Boyd and Kenny Boyd and his wife Cristy and their children Konnor and Kayla, and their daughter Jennifer Boyd and her son Kayden; his sister Kathy Boyd Hodge her daughter Brandi and her daughters Hannah, Emily and Lauren. He is also survived by nephews and nieces Dwain Boyd and his wife Christie and their family, Rhonda Brooks and family, Tracy Thompson and family and Jodie Boyd.

Together with his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Philip L. Boyd and Larry D. Boyd and a niece Kammie Boyd.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm at a Visitation to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at the Wilmington Funeral Chapel, 1535 S.41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403. A service to Celebrate Ron’s Life will follow at 5:00 pm.
