Sam H. Ingram, III 69 of Scotts Hill Community in Wilmington passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Sam was born in Wilmington on December 29, 1950, to the late, Sam H. Ingram, Jr. and Mary Thompson Ingram.

Sam graduated from Hoggard High School in 1969 and served in the US Army from 1970 to 1971. Sam retired from DuPont working from 1972 until 2013 retiring as a supervisor. He enjoyed boating, fishing, biking, wakeboarding, and all water sports.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann English Ingram, sons, John P. Ingram and wife Donna and Christopher B. Ingram and wife Megan; four grandchildren, Carrie B. Ingram, Britton Ingram, Avery Ingram, and Carlie Flowers; siblings, Laura Ann Holt, Michael Ingram, Michelle Giddeons, and Samantha Ingram.

Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 4 pm Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Wilmington Funeral Chapel led by Rev. Sam Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare.
