Thomas Daniel Harvey, age 73 of Winnabow, NC , formerly of Hillsdale, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Thomas was born in Queens, NY on February 20, 1946 to the late Peter Harvey and Bernice Carlock Harvey. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1963 with a focus on structural engineering. He continued onto a 57 year career with the Ironworker’s Local #40 in New York City and helped to build notable skyscrapers such as the Exxon Building, World Trade Center, Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Yankee stadium to name a few.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Karen Harvey; one son, Raymond Harvey and one daughter, Kimberly Sacramone and husband Frederick, grandchildren, Steven Harvey (24), Krista Harvey (23), Shawn Harvey (18) and Ryan Sacramone (13).

He had a passion for travelling with his wife Karen to adventurous destinations while capturing on video. His life with Karen was always an adventure whether scuba diving, skiing, or experiencing wildlife in beautiful settings.

He was a very proud member of the Sons of the American Revolution and passing this legacy onto his family.

No formal services are planned at this time.
