William Kenneth Deese

William Kenneth Deese, age 76, of Leland, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018, at his home.

He was born in Monroe, NC on April 29, 1942, the son of Foster Deese and Bleeka Klontz Deese.

Kenneth worked for many years as a Machinist in the tool manufacturing industry.

He served his country with honor and distinction as a Specialist 4th class in the United States Army.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Linda, his aunt Betty Watkins, aunt Eva Simms and a niece and nephew.

He was predeceased by his father Foster Deese, stepfather “Daddy Red” Lowery, mother Bleeka “Mrs. Blackie” Lowery and his sister Shelba Walker.

Kenneth enjoyed being home with his wife and spending time with his horses and other animals.

The family will receive friends at a visitation to be held from 10 am till 11 am on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at the First Baptist Church of Leland 517 Village Road, Leland, NC 28451. The Funeral Service will follow at 11 am, Rev. Dr. Steve Ellis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Churchyard Cemetery. In recognition of Kenneth’s honorable and faithful service to his country the United States Army will render Military Honors.
