I just saw the notice in paper. I am sorry to hear of Ned passing. We had some good times on the golf course. I am retired and still on the beach . My prayers are with you and your family.

I wish the family and everyone who loved this man my most sincere condolences. Mr. Pearce was a fixture at the Cape Fear Optimist Park when I was a child. He was a great coach, mentor, and all-around nice guy. Rest easy, Sir.

I know your heart is heavy and torn my friend. Losing the 1st man you ever loved is difficult. You feel relief that he no longer suffers, you feel regret to have to give up one of your best friends. Thoughts and prayers for you, family and his friends. Love you

Mr Pearce was a great coach and mentor. He taught me that every person on the team matters. That has been sage advice over the years. A great man who will be missed.

We were best friends from the time my son James introduced me to Ned. We played golf two to three times a week from 1991 until 2009 when he started loosing his eyesight. Those years were special with Charlie Matthews, Gene Hall and Tiny Clark as we kidded around on the golf course and tried to get into each other’s head to miss a crucial putt. Ned was a true friend right up until he graduated to a far better place. Rest In Peace brother.
