I got to know Mary because she would come over and swim in my mother's pool and in would think to myself who is this pretty woman swimming in my mother's Anyways, she was a really nice, sweet and thoughtful human being, she would help my mother out alot after my mother operation. She will be missed terribly. Thank you Mary for being you....

I met Emmie in college in SC.... She was a burst of life into my world like I never knew before. She became my 1st best friend and remains a sister forever. We've lived through so much together these past 12 years. She accomplished so much in her too short life- I'm most happy about the love she found with Johnathon and the legacy she leaves us in Willow. I'll love you forever Emmie and miss you for always.

Emmie, most of my memories of you were as a little girl. A little wild, passionate and everywhere. We could always hear you coming. You were so beautiful. I moved away after high school so I never got to know you as an adult except through social media. I’m so sorry that life ended this way for you but I believe you crammed as much living as possible into these 35 years. I don’t think you even considered any other way. Still, It doesn’t seem fair. You are so very loved and your loss is felt across the country.

I will miss her greatly. She was loud, quirky, funny, smart, loving.... a great cousin. Even though we were cousins by marriage, we never saw it that way. I keep having visions of Mary and Grandpa Dick laughing and carrying on making antipasta. It's weighing on my heart that I can't be there this weekend. But I know she'd be okay with that. Some of my fondest memories are us at the camp wading out in alligator infested waters up to our necks without a care in the world. Or the many family gatherings at Granny's house. Jonathon, please know y'all are welcome to our house anytime. Love y'all very much.

I got to know Mary through the loving stories her brother, Thomas, and his husband, Peter, would share. It was clear that she was loved, and will be very much so missed. I wish to express my sympathy to the Henderson and Doyle families as well as those who knew Mary best. Stand strong together, lift each other up before the pain comes, and I am certain you will make Mary proud.

May you cherish your many fun memories of Mary; her loving spirit, warm smile, and strength. May you be comforted in knowing that God's word the Bible gives us hope with the assurance that those who are sleeping in death are not suffering. Please know that God hates death, views it as an enemy and has promise to undo sickness and death forever, Isaiah 33:24 and Revelation 21:4. God invites you, "Draw close to God and He will draw close to you," James 4:8. May you draw closer to God in prayer through his son Jesus, and may Jehovah keep you in his loving care. Please accept my deepest sympathy.

Emmie and I became fast friends when we worked together briefly as servers in a local Restaurant. I always enjoyed her positive attitude, her funny antics and her generous spirit. We laughed together and shared our love her for Aunt Shannon! Emmie was always a beautiful person inside and out and I am forever grateful to have known and loved her.

Many years we went to school together and she always had a smile on her face and as the years passed life took it's tole on all of us and we, like many, drifted apart. I think we started bonding as many others do when we became mothers. It's amazing what parenthood will do and make you realize how important those friendships are. Her passion and love for others was astounding and her passing makes us hault in life. The realization that she is gone is disheartening. The truth though is she is not gone, she is pain free and smiling down on us to make us remember to always count your blessings and live life to it's fullest. Praying for Johnathan and Willow to be strong and take time to know that you are loved. Praying for the rest of her family to release that anger that you may have as she has passed and know that she is still here in each of us.

Mary and all of her brother's came through Broad Creek Middle School. They might as well have been triplets because they were together most times. Being in a family of boys, Mary was a pistol and held her own...She took no prisoners. She had such a sweet smile and will be sorely missed by her family. I pray the Lord's peace be with you all.
