Condolences for Mitchell Jay Gerstle

I have only recently heard of Mitch leaving us and I can't believe it. Mitch and I worked together for GTE in Pomona, Long Beach, and finally Santa Monica. Many times payday was beers on his boat in Marina del Rey. In those days Josh was his whole life. He loved you buddy. I do not believe I have ever met a kinder, gentler soul than Mitch Gerstle. I will always remember my friend Mitchy the kid.

To Mitchell’s wife Valerie, brother, son Josh and his grandchildren .. I always loved Mitchell, and Josh was just a boy the last I saw him. He was always a good friend to my Family. I don’t know what happened, but I am so sorry. I will always hear his voice and his laughter .. Cheri Whitaker

I will always remember Mitchell's salad dressing he made, it was a oil and vinegar , delicious, Mitch loved it and I remember him saying I could drink it, that was back in very early days in Santa Monica, I was extremely sad to hear this news, all my thoughts with family and friends at this very hard time,

Mitch, may you rest in peace my dear friend. It was a pleasure working with you at the phone company in Santa Monica. A true friend who taught me the ropes and had my back. I will always remember the good times we shared, going to coffee shops or just long conversations about life.I missed you when you moved and now I will miss you forever. I'm glad we kept in touch and I will never forget you. God bless your family.
