Tony, I know it's been a while since you've been laid to rest. Just want you and your family to know, I still think about you and what an awesome person you were. I remember asking you for a list of songs you would like burned on a CD to listen to in your car and to my surprise the list was over 80 songs! I burned 2 CD's for you and gave them to you and was working on more... I still have a folder on my desktop with the other songs... I see it every day. Miss you man. You were the best!

I pray for Tony’s parents, siblings and all family members. Tony was one of a kind. If I had to describe Tony in one word - Humble Humility means thinking of others first, not oneself first. Dear Moore family, our condolences go out to you. Our son, 1st. Lt. Hugh Conor McDowell, US Marine Corps, also died in a "rollover" at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, while on maneuvers in a Light Armored Vehicle in a preventable "accident," on May 9, 2019. Please feel free to contact us for any advice or support. We are working with other families and the US Congress in a major inquiry to prevent further deaths like Antonio's and Conor's. I am Conor's father, Michael McDowell (mhcmcdowell@aol.com) and (202)391-5240. So sorry for you loss. Our son was only two years older than Antonio, and was our only child. Our children's legacy can be in improving safety, since more young people are dying now in training than in combat. This needs to be addressed by the Pentagon and the government. You will find major coverage of this rollover issue on my Facebook page under "Michael H C McDowell." God be with you at this horrible time. We know all too well what you are going through.

When I 1st met Antonio, I was doing security at Hanover Center. He always made me smile because he was always smiling and then he would say "Hey Donte's mom". I would laugh. He would ask how the day was going and vice versa. He and my son would talk at work and after work. They were good friends. When we heard of Tony's passing, we were devastated. My condolence to the family. Antonio will always carry a place in our hearts. #RIHTony #Salute #OurHero

To have known Tony, was to love Tony. You are a rare gem. One of the most kindest, polite, do anything for anybody gentleman. Watching you on and off the field, then joining the military to serve your country was just another act of pure selflessness. Just an amazing young man gone too soon. Prayers to the family and many friends. From two generations of Vikings, Melisa and Nick Clay, Jr (#85)

We cannot begin to express our sincere sorrow in hearing the news of Tony's passing while in the service of the U.S. Army and for him making the ultimate sacrifice in service of our Country. When we think of him, we will always remember him for the Hero that he was and will always hold onto memories of his "light" that he shared with so many during his years at Hoggard High School. We are all better people for having known Tony. May you always remember his devotion to his friends, family and community and may these memories one day bring you smiles that will help overshadow your grief. As a family, we hope that God holds you in the palm of his hand and brings you peace and healing, knowing that Tony now serves in God's Army. We hope this can somehow overshadow your grief and fill your heart with peace. You and your family remain in our family's thoughts and prayers and we Thank You for His Service to our Country. Our hearts are hurting for all of you. With our sincere condolences, Christian Poveromo & The Poveromo family - JTH Class of 2013
