Condolences for Douglas Ryan Knotts

I remember that it was just last semester when I first met him and he was a amazing person

I remember last year he was in my math 4 class with Mrs. Carley. He always came into the class with a smile and a laugh because he liked us to call him “Doug”. I remember all the laughs and smiles he shared and never once looked upside down. We weren’t close but we had memories. and it truly saddened me when I was working at NHRMC and heard what happened because my mom called me. I broke down in tears, even though we weren’t close, i still felt like apart of me knew him deeper than i did. We love you Ryan.

I was blessed to meet Ryan but one time - thanks to his friend DJ. Ryan drove DJ out to our farm to feed our horses. I will never forget the sincere kindness that exuded from this young man. So sincere, so real, so candid .. and that was only a short glance we shared ... my heart breaks open for all those that love him ... his time on earth was much too short - but that does not change the impact he had on so many people, the impact he had on this world. Ryan is a bright Soul. He will forever shine through the hearts of so many that he touched. My prayers for his family, for his friends, for DJ .. and for all that are mourning such a tragedy.

My prayers are with your family for strength and comfort. A life cut too short but what a compassionate decision he made in his life to be an organ donor. His life will love on in someone else. Peace be with you all.

My son Darrel was a friend of Ryan's. Unfortunately I didn't know him, but have felt as though I did. It's unimaginable the pain and loss that you as parents are going through. I've been on my knees praying for you and also praying that not only will he live on in donors, but that he saves the lives of friends who will now always remember the importance of wearing seat belts. Please allow God and His words to help bring you peace and comfort. You will be in my prayers in the difficult days, weeks and months ahead. ♥️

I’ll remember Ryan in his childhood days coming around during family visits and all the cousins playing outside at my moms (his great grandma, always called “nanny”). He was always quiet inside but had lots of smiles. Such a sweet nephew to this great Aunt. I’m so proud of the young man he became!
