Condolences for Mark Christopher Chapman

Mrs. Chapman, Joseph, Kathryn, Michael, John, and Peter - I was very saddened to hear of the news this past week, and my thoughts and prayers have been with you all throughout. This has to be extremely difficult for the whole family, but please know that your husband and father will be remembered fondly in my heart and in the hearts of countless others. Over the years in Weddington, as I grew to know Mr. Chapman through Joe, I always appreciated his keen sense of humor, his infectious smile, and the sense of how he cared so much about his family. As you grieve, take solace in knowing that his spirit and character will most certainly live on in all of you. Please let me know if I can help and support your family in any way. I miss all of you tremendously, and I will continue to pray for you during this difficult time.

The world lost a good one.He believed in God and his Catholic Church and lived that faith. The last time I talked to him was at confession at St Matthews in Charlotte...he was headed back to Miss. for his new job.I am so sorry and sad for his wife Janet and his children. But we know we will be reunited again soon in heaven..You all are in my prayers

Kathryn, If I am not mistaken, you were in my first grade class at Lansdowne Elementary School. I was very shocked and saddened to read about your father's death. I see that your last name is Diener and you are living in McComb, MS. I would love to hear more from you. I retired in Feb. '05 after 29 years of service. I am so sorry to hear about your father's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
