Donna- I am very sorry to hear about your Mom. I have many fond memories of her growing up! She was always such a beautiful, classy lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!

Our family is deeply saddened at the loss of my grandma (MiMa.) She was a very kind lady who loved to cook! She would often spread her good cooking throughout her community while she prepared a full course meal for someone who was sick or for the family of a loved one that was lost. She was a true Christian and a believer of our Lord. I know she was finally dancing again when she reached the gates of heaven! We love you and will miss you and I pray that you watch over all of us and keep us safe. Until we meet Jenna.

I met Marie when my mother after her own retirement decided to help others who needed a friend as well as share time with. My mom would tell me about all their outings, lunches & many other activities together. Now and then I'd go to lunch with them or visit Marie when my mother was with her. There was rarely a time that I'd call my mother and not speak to Marie as well. Marie brought my mother many happy moments and my mother became a very close friend to her as well. She will be deeply missed & I'm grateful to had known her. My prayers and condolences to Donna and their beautiful family.

My Aunt Marie was loving, kind-hearted, prim and proper, the epitome of Southern charm and manners. She was a professional woman ahead of her time. She loved her family, was always cooking something yummy and shared many recipes with my mom, her sister in law Becky Clegg, which my family still enjoy today. I’m sure Uncle Hoyt greeted her at the gates with our Lord and savior. Donna, may you and your family continue to be blessed with good memories of days past. With much love and sympathy, Leslie
