Condolences for Kathryn Horne Trull

Scott and Karen Johnson posted on 7/10/20

Katheryn and Charles were very supportive during Scott's first deployment to Germany. The time spent with them was always a fond memory and the exhortation he received from the Trulls has stayed with him for years. During a trying time with Scott's health, Kathryn reached out to me and encouraged me on how to be a supportive wife and to help him the best. I never met Kathryn in person, but when she spoke to me on the phone and sent me messages, it was a lifeline that I needed. Praise God for such a Godly woman to make herself available to me, a stranger. The world is a sadder place without her, but I look forward to meeting her one day and giving her a big hug and thank you.

Kathryn was a true friend, I met her at work many years ago. She taught me many lessons in life, to include forgiveness and trust. She was truly a child of God and shared her love for him with others. A true Angel and now she at home where there is no more pain or sickness. In the arms of Jesus!!!

Katheryn was a wonderful spirit. Quick to smile, a Southern Lady with just the right accent. I first met her in 1982 and in those 38 years I do not recall an unpleasant word ever uttered by or toward her. To know her was to know true grace.

Our condolences to the Trull Family. Katheryn made Trinity Baptist home to so many of us. We loved her dearly~ we always knew when it winter, Katheryn sat at the right side of the church close to the heaters. I love that she shared her warm insight with me. She will be missed by many.

To Charles, Mark and April: Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your loved one. In this tough time in your life, may our friendship, sympathy and heartfelt condolences bring you comfort. I first met Kathryn & Charles about 30 years ago when they visited Mark who was stationed here in Spangdahlem (Germany) and lived next door to my parents. Mark quickly became a member of our family and since then we have a great friendship. I only met Kathry a few times but often think about all of you and will keep her in goog memory. God blessing will be with you during this sad time.

I went to Germany to teach at Spangdahlem Elementary in August 1985. On the second Sunday I was in Germany I visited Trinity Baptist Church in Metterich. Kathryn & Charles invited me to their home for lunch after church. They made me feel like family. That made a huge difference in my life. I knew that Trinity was God's place for me. I met my wife, Ann, there. I became a deacon there. I grew in love for God there. Kathryn and Charles will forever have a special place in my heart! Thank God that they were the obedient servants that they were.
