Carol, I cherish the times Troy and I spent with Michael, you, Diane and Jimmy. I loved Michael's zest for life and wonderful sense of humor. Comfort is hard to find during times like this, but I hope you will find it in those you love, your memories and in the thought that Diane was most likely happy to see him walk through Heaven's door. Love and heartfelt sympathy from the Troy Davis Family

Mike was a class ahead of me at Dixon High. He was always full of life and excitement. Also I had the chance to play softball against him in the Dixon area. A great competitor. I pray God will hold you in His loving arms and provide the comfort and peace that only He can provide.

My condolences to Carol and the entire family. Mike was one of the first people I met when I moved back to Wilmington. He was such an easy person to hang with. I know he will rest in peace.

We are so sorry Carol, Mike was a great man and great neighbor! I can remember a few years back lying in bed being woken up by Mike cutting my grass because my mower was broke, I didn’t ask him he just did it! But what I remember the most was his smile! Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very near!

Mike was the best guy I ever met. So funny, So kind, so caring. Even though we are from completely different backgrounds, me being a Yankee, Mike of course from the South. When we were put on the same bowling team over 28 years ago, we just meshed. We also played a lot of golf together. In fact, one thing I will always remember about Mike is that when the chips were down, he would always come through and carry the team. And I think he came through for everybody who ever met him. The best way I can describe Mike is “real.” And to me, that is the best compliment you can give to somebody. Carol, we are so sorry about this. We love you so much. Please let us know if there is ever anything you need. Andy & Claudia Lipson

While life got in the way after we moved to Raleigh and I only got to see him 1or 2 miss a year, I treasured the times I did get to see him. The best way to describe Mike to me is “real.” And that is about the best compliment you can give anyone. Carol, we are here for you, please let us know if there is anything you need. We love you.

Mike was my friend since he wax13-14. We worked at Barnacle Bill's and I told him my boyfriend woes, my home life, my troubles. He empathized and understood. We kept in touch through the years. Mike, I hope you and John are dancing in the streets, not Holly Ridge, playing golf in the best courses and having no pain or sorrow. I will miss you.

Mike,. My Dear friend ❤️.. you will be missed!!! I have been blessed to have you in my life.. Thru many haircuts, speaking your opinions to tears in your eyes when you spoke of your kids!! When ever Patrick or Christopher missed a haircut appointment with me ,,, You expressed the importance to call and apologize!! Which for me,. It was okay.. if they didn't,. But your values of respect we're very important to you . I will miss all our joking and meaningful conversations.. Thank you for being you!! With my most inner thoughts, I pray for the family
