I just read that Gladys had passed earlier this week. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved your mom. We worked together at the Hilton years ago and she was the nicest person ever. Worked hard and loved her work family. Prayers for your family

Myra: Lucille and I have so many fond memories of Gladys and you Dad "Shorty" Our family connection goes back to almost 70 years as Lucille was born in Portsmouth also and her Dad Garrenton and Shorty worked at the same plant and Garrenton hired Shorty at Corbett Pavkage Coompanny. Your Mother was a joy to be around. We will have those memories forever. God Bless You and Yours. Lucille & Al

Mura: I am sure you do not remember me, however, I well remember Gladys from 50 years ago. She sang in the choir at Ogden Baptist Church and I was the organist. I now live in western NC but still read the Star News Online daily and saw the notice for Gladys. I want to you to know Gladys was one of my favorite people - that infectious laugh, warm smile and enduring personality. Myra, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
