Mike was such a comfort to my husband, Jacob Register, during his time of illness last year. Jake always speaks to highly of Mike when speaking to me about him. May God's loving arms envelop you to and your daughter. Our heartfelt prayers are with both of you as well as the rest of the family. God Bless. Reverend Yvonne Register

Dear Mona, Jennifer, Aunt Florence, Uncle Tom, Jayne and Susie< I am so very sorry, stunned and sad about cousin Michael. He would always come to mind whenever a song from his record collection that he so willingly shared with John Mike and me played on the radio. I'm sure we warped quite a few of his favorite albums. I can still picture him playing Stratego in the living room or just telling stories during holiday dinners. He was always so good about writing to Mom and Dad (Aunt Jackie and Dicky Boy) when he was in the service, in college and beyond. It was always such a treat whenever he came back to town and visited or just called to say hello. A huge loss to all. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. With much love, Barb Apanites

My thoughts and prayers are with evryone who was so positively touched by knowing Michael. As one of his cousins, I hold wonderful memories in my heart from when we were all kids, playing at his house or ours... especially in the summers for a wonderfully fun backyard picnic. When he chose to go into the Navy we were so proud and excited, and he was such a great sport about writing back-and-forth, describing what he was learning. I know my Dad was especially proud of all his accomplishments throughout his life, and it made him happy he was able to stay in touch across the miles. Of course, words seem like so little at such a sad time like this, but do know they represent a lot of love and prayers for you.

Although I was not Michael’s cousin by blood, you would never have known it. He treated me so well and was so generous to me with all his time, interests and talents. He shared his great collection of comic books with me. He would show me his models and explain all the details of his painting and assembly. He gave me his slot car/train set all perfectly mounted to a large table and laid out in a great pattern. He let me listen to his vinyl of Pink Floyd and ELO. He even gave me his weight set when he was going off to the Navy, so that I could begin to get in shape. It is hard for me to express the influence his genuine enthusiasm and sharing had on me. His passing is so very sad. I will keep his family and friends in my thoughts and prayers

I found this truly meaningful remembrance this morning. ``` The Little Ship I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, "He is gone." But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore, a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, "He is gone" a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, "Here he comes."

Our hearts to out to Michael's family. Going from a teen who built Uncle Dick a wonder ship model to a man who was a model to all. We had nothing to do with all Michael's successes, but loved hearing about his experiences and great career. He was loved by many and was our shining star. Rest in peace. love Uncle Dick and Aunt Jackie

In the short time we have know the Kandzer's we feel they have become family. As Renters of their Chesapeake home Mike NEVER hesitated if we needed anything! He was unbelievably generous, caring and always made sure we were never inconvienced with the smallest of things. I'm sure he is watching over us now to make sure the roof doesn't leak, and the garage door keeps working. We are so blessed God put the Kandzer family in our lives..Mike will be sadly missed!
