We will always keep close to our hearts the time we spent together and our first Thanksgiving in NC that Bo and Mary opened up their home to our family. The love and gratitude is beyond measure. Mary and family, To be in Bo’s presence was to see a man with a perpetual smile and one who was truly happy with his life. The pride and joy each of you brought him was evident in any conversation. The warm and welcoming nature in which he greeted people made us feel like old and cherished friends. The wonderful memories of Bo will keep him with you always and hopefully make your immeasurable loss easier to bear. Our sincere and deepest sympathies, Ken and Suezi Petit

Mary and family - We love all of you so much. The memories my family have of countless weekend beach trips, drives on Freeman Park, boat rides and fishing, July 4th's, shrimp boils, and so many more will forever be etched in my family's minds. Bo was such a good man, and so much fun to hang out with. The joy he had just being around kids(my kids in particular) was so fun to see. Bo was every bit as ecstatic as Owen and Liza when they both caught their first fish with Bo, on his boat, in Carolina Beach. I will forever be grateful for how he treated them and the fun I had with him all those weekends just hanging, eating, cooking, playing cornhole, horseshoes and so much more at Carolina Beach and Freeman Park. Please know everyone is on our prayers and look forward to seeing you soon. John, Jenny, Owen, and Liza

I don't have a memory from Bo but I've followed my cousin Mary online and have seen their happiness. I often wished I had a "Bo" in my life but God has me where He wants me. God bless you and your family cousin Mary and I love you.

My memories of Bo go back to the earliest days of when he and Mary met and how deeply in love they were. Danny and I were at their lovely wedding and the way he looked at her with his beautiful blue eyes spoke volumes of what their love ❤️ story would be. He was a veteran that came home intent on having the American dream of hard work, a family he loved and so much more. He did all of that and more with love, humor, honor, and making many friends wherever he went. We visited their very first home he bought as soon as they got married, and the beautiful homes they have had thru the years. We have celebrated New Years which is also Mary’s Birthday and danced the night away, shared meals on the waterfront watching the Sunset , (their thing) , shared memories of our children, our precious grandchildren, and many infamous Bo stories that always ended in laughter. We have enjoyed time at their beach home, and they ours, and shared our love of the beach, the great seafood and the beautiful shore. We have found in their friendship a rare fellowship that we have treasured and we are devastated that we have lost Bo ! We love their beautiful family and promise Mary she will always be a priority in our life and we will be there for her as Bo would want. We will treasure our memories and miss him terribly! Rest In Peace sweet friend. See you on the other side! You loved❤️ and lived well!

Memories of Bo have flooded our thoughts the last few days. We began in 1972 while working at the NC State Highway Dept. We shared many a story on our travels around several counties in performance of our duties. A friendship that has grown and it has always been a pleasure to share beach trios, concerts or just visits to each others house. Always agreeable with the crowd that we end the nights with one more Bo tale. Will truly miss this guy. Hugs and prayers to the family and we will see all soon.

Bo was my son’s father-in-law. He was a wonderful role model for Kyle, and Kyle adored him. Bo always made sure our family was included in every holiday celebration. He will be greatly missed. I’m not sure who I’ll call now for “building advice.” He always helped when we needed it, and I can still hear him laughing the day he caught the biggest, ugliest catfish I’d ever seen!! Rest In Peace, Bo, and I’ll see you on the other side.❤️

To the Jamison family; we are so sad for your loss. Diane and I never really got to meet Bo but we sure love his son. Bo's legacy was evident in Steve and in the way he cherishes family. Love to you all and God's comfort.

Bo always shared a smile and hello on his way to his boat. He always waved and said hello when we saw him fishing near our pier. He was a very kind man and will be missed here at the beach.

Bo and I worked together for nearly a decade at Choate. He was instrumental in teaching me how to build early in my career and how to treat people. He was an awesome teammate and mentor. The last time we were together several years ago at a Christmas party he pulled me aside, and in his simple way said “Zane, go be happy and don’t look back”. He was right. Sending love and prayers to Mary and the family. - Zane, Beth, Bergen, & Wells Dickerson
