Karla and I shared a daily “arrival at the same time to work” relationship. I did not know her on a personal level but we were on the same morning schedule. We shared the walk from the Scottish Rite Temple to NHCDHHS many mornings. She spoke to me as if she knew me each time. I appreciated that and thought she was so cute in her ways. There were days where we shared an umbrella waiting on that stop light and laughed about life matters. I am saddened to learn of her passing and praying fervently for her family. A light she definitely was; rest in perfect peace Karla.

I was shocked to hear the news of Karla's passing and want to offer my sincere condolences. I can only imagine how difficult it has been for you and your family and no one can pretend to understand the pain you going through right now. I’m honored to remember Karla as one of the best people I have ever met and even though we didn’t touch base often she always remembered me through our real estate transactions and I am honored to be called “auntie Lila”. I am offering you my prayers and will always be a phone call away if you or your family needs any help. Please don’t ever hesitate to ask. Rest in peace dearest Karla. Lila

Karla had such a kind heart and sweet smile. She taught me so much in the time we had together. She always treated everyone with respect. I admired her patience and dedication to her work and the love and care she expressed for her family, friends, clients and coworkers.
