Condolences for Timothy Edward Rankin

Tim was a lifelong friend of Mike's. Scottie and I were roommates for a while. He was in our wedding. We all hung out together throughout our 20's and 30's. We lived in the same neighborhood for several years, and our boys played together. While we did not stay in touch very well when we moved to SC, Mike always considered him one of his best friends. We are brokenhearted over his passing.

Tim was truly one of a kind. I first met Tim playing Little League baseball at Montrose Elementary where I was helping him warm up and I missed a ball and got a black eye for it. Tim was very upset about that but it was my fault. Then in high school he was always there if you needed a friend. Tim will be sorely missed by all that knew him. My condolences to the family and a reminder that he’s always with you.

Tim and I were best friends from 7th grade until I retired in 2002. We did everything together. I always loved him and I will never forget him. I'm sure he's playing golf in Heaven now. He was a good friend and a great person. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.

I feel as if I have known Tim all of my life. I met him when he played baseball on my Daddy's summer baseball team up at Montrose Elementary School. Then at Varina, we reconnected. He was such a good person and the world has lost a good man.

Tim was a fun loving person. He always had something to say that would put a smile on your face. He loved to play golf and tell stories about his days in high school. I’ll miss his witty remarks and him calling me Pots ( short for pot belly) . He was truly one of a kind. He will be missed by us all . May he Rest In Peace and God bless him .

Oh Rankin miss you so much. You were such a good friend to Mike Wright and me. You will be missed. He and Gary went to see Elvis his last concert at Richmond coliseum. Than he went to Florida to work with Jimmy Langford and Ricky for 2 weeks. We will miss him very much RIP our friend.
