I met Chris in early 2000s, which began a business relationship that turned into a friendship along with the business relationships. Chris was very intelligent, and I came to respect him for his knowledge and integrity. I was shocked to hear of his illness and in a very short time of his passing. He did a great job for myself and Im sure for all others that had business relationships with Chris also. But mostly, I will miss him for being him, sincerely!!!! My deepest condolences for his loving family . Please accept sincerest sympathy! Huberta and Family

I have so many memories of us growing up in Cherokee Hills I don’t even know where to start. I had no idea he was sick. I’m so sad. I wish I could share our stories with everyone. He was a great person and a true friend. Will miss him dearly. I wish we would have kept more in touch and talked more. Lifes too short. Keep in touch with your old friends. I’m truly saddened by this.

Karp was part of the West Virginia boys from the Glen Dale area, including my husband, Alan Bell.. Every time we saw him he had a smile on his face. We are sorry he is gone so soon, and we won't have the chance to laugh with him again. RIP dear friend.

I had heard Chris was ill, but had no idea he was this bad. I am so sorry for your loss. My father always thought highly of Chris when Chris worked with him and I enjoyed being with Chris over the years as well. May he rest in peace and my thoughts are with all of his family. Erik Schramm

Shocked and saddened to hear about Karp this weekend. While I was closer to his brother Tony, it was always a joy to cross paths with Chris through the years and talk sports. I'm sure he'll be missed and remembered by many. My thoughts and sympathy go out to all of his family and many friends

So very sorry to hear about Chris. He and I shared a birthday…our mothers actually shared a hospital room when we were born. I have many fond memories of Chris and offer my deepest sympathy.
